| The Israeli government's startling announcement that the Palestinian perpetrators of the (Sept. 9) dual terror attacks in Tsrifin (7 murdered, 30 wounded) and Jerusalem's Caf¨¦ Hillel (8 murdered, 50 wounded) were both, just six months ago, released from administrative detention in an Israeli prison. |

You don't seem to undersatnd principle. Iran the only nation...if all of Mid-East could destroy Israel...it would. |
Is this an educated hypothesis, or another ignorant conjecture? If there was a lack of international media in the middle east, would Israel destroy all of the surrounding nations?
| quote: | | and what do you know of his intentions? How would you know he wouldn't plan anyhting against another country such as US? He didn't have the power to carry it out if he was. |
Another pathetic conjecture, how do we know Israel is not planning “anyhting against another country such as US?”
| quote: | Israel is trying to live a life, while Arafat attempts to terrorize it.
|
This is so stupid i don't even know where to start. The Israeli government has demonstrated to the international community time and time again that it has no respect for human life. Why is Sharon being pursued for for war crimes?
| quote: | | And those people that do the suicide bombings aren't all radicals...they're people who are fed with illegitimate morals and values by leaders that have corrupted society with their own agendas. |
And where did you learn this? CNN? Bible study group? Or while playing dungeons and dragons? You have no idea of the anguish and despair flowing through their minds. And what of the Israeli terrorists?
| quote: | | Saddam needed to be toppled regardless...look at the iraqi woman for instance...the barrier between genders has finally been toppled. |
Ahhh, so this was the real reason the war was incited, they wanted equal opportunity for both sexes, wait a minute, of all nations in the middle east, Iraq was one of the most tolerant for women in positions of respect and power. What of The USA's ally Kuwait, misogynic? yes / no? Did you know it states multiple times in the bible that woman are not aloud to be in positions of respect and power?
| quote: | | US attacked a point on the Muslim world, to send a message that it will fight, as cowardly Clinton wouldn't. |
The most populous Muslim nation in the world is Indonesia, another of the USA's allies. The Indonesian government is also responsible for more many crimes against humanity.
| quote: | | Ethnocentric? Bush? Sharon? It's not about racism...it's about taking a stance against moronic and uncivilized groups of people out to terrorize the world. |
Again you contradict yourself, the generalisation just shows how racist your ideals are. If we are looking for morons, why not look at the puppet figurehead “leading” of the USA?
| quote: | | Arafat is a terrorist and Israel should stop being harassad by Palestine and their pathetic ideologies and just bombard them to hell where they belong. |
haha, i knew it, I must be arguing with a christian
| quote: | | Why don't you draw a comparison between Hitler and Saddam, or Hitler and Arafat? |
Why? Because it's not as easy, the parallels between Sharon and Hitler are very overt. Yasser Arafat was awarded the nobel peace prize, Sharon is being pursued for war crimes.
| quote: | | It's always either between Sharon or Bush. Bush and Sharon are military operatives. Without strong military, is like putting your arms down in a boxing match. |
Why are they in this boxing match?
| quote: | | Nothing here is going to change minds, Tathi. It's either one agrees, if my position is shared, or doesn't agree. I have no doubt my views are minority here on this forum. |
You're an indoctrinated fool, you're right nothing can help you, and i pity you for that.
| quote: | | And oohh, congradulations tathi, you can make fun of my name and sig....wow That's a great sign of maturity. |
I couldn't help it haha
| quote: | | And "ignorant redneck?" You don't even know my ethnicity, so don't try and pretend you know me. Grow up! |
I don't have to, you have given me multiple examples of your ignorance and how you regard the human life of certain races and cultures higher then others
| quote: | | I'm just so hurt...considering this remark comes from a user with Che q Vara's pic in place for his own. |
Hahaha, look at your own sig |

I dont want to sound critical, but honestly, a thread like this should not be answered by either sides (meaning jew/arab etc.) ...why you might ask? because your opinions are intrinsically biased. |
That would make me the neutral voice here, being Caucasian and the acculturative byproduct of unbiased education and media |

Belive it or not but music or a party can make a change. Last year I was in Eliat which is in the south of Israel seeing Tiesto on a big rave. Jusr near me there was as Arab couple. I just tried to be friendly and asked them from where they are . They were clubbers from Jordan . We dont have much Arabs tourists in Israel, but here they come for the music. They were great couple and it was a pleasue to meet them.
About the E idea ... well for a start I will put some E inside the water in here so ppl will like to Love instead of Hate and that goes for both sides. |
It's a shame your tolerance makes you a minority, if there were more people like you there would not be violence in Palestine. And as for “music or a party can make a change” well I've always been fascinated in cognitive science in particular psychoacoustics, I've been planning to write a thesis on the psychotropic effect of trance music. Maybe i'll post it here ;) |

Come on "The Israeli government ... has no respect for human life", thats a bit pushing it no? From a guy that seems to hate generalizations, and stick to strict gramatic notation to make a point, I think even you will agree one can't say Israle has NO respect for human life... If you want, at least make an arguable point and say "little" respect for human life. If they had no respect for human life after all, there would be no Palestinian life now would there?
And as for a second point, I do believe that Sharon who was only being pursued for war crimes in Belgium is no longer peing pursued. As I recall I think it was the Belgian equivalent of the Attorney General who annouced the Belgian law that allows foreign nationals to be tried in Belgium as illegal, therefore dropping all cases where it was being used. You might want to look into this a bit further.. I can't recall how accurate this is.
Regardless however... being up for trial means little these days, after all you don't see Saddam up there do you? |

Yoepus, i was demonstrating to Toscher Sedai how stupid his generalisations were by answering him with generalisations equally stupid ;)
As for the international war crimes tribunal, i thought it was made illegal to trial an active head of state? |

fair enough:D

Well as my recollection recalls (;)) Sharon has not been tried to accused by THE international war crimes tribunal. There was a case however in Belgium against Sharon, after Belgian national law allowed it to try foreign nationals for crimes commited against International law (a national law that says basically we have the right to interpert and enforce international law however we want). Here Sharon was supposed to be tried for war crimes against this Belgian law, specifically for his involvement in Lebanon in 82.
However, this Belgian law create so much international and national contrevorsy it was just a matter of time it would be overturned as it was.
As for THE international war crimes tribunal, there are already campagains to try Sharon there, but since the court is still not accepting cases this is seen as much more of a political then moral attempt by the campagaining parties. |

I jumped into this extremely late, and really cant b arsed reading all 9 pages, but my view is this .. You need a few things b4 there can ever be peace between these 2 ..
1) america needs to stop sticking up for israel the way it is
2) arafat needs to go .. hes the biggest obsticle to peace, as long as he is there Hamas etc etc will carry on bombing.
3) you need the whole of the reigon and europe to back a peace plan, not just the select few that currently back the roadmap.
hopefully 1 day this conflict will just be confined to history, but i fear more deaths, and tit for tat killings before that happens.
just my 2 cents. |

the complicated part about this is that Hamas will coninue to terrorize Israel even if Arafat is gone. |
