Equipment shops in NYC

| I'm gonna be down in NYC after the PvD show and was wondering if you guys know of some good shops I should check out for DJ equipment. At a minimum, I want to find a good pair of headphones since you kinda need to do it in person to see what is comfortable for you. But I also want to check out some stuff I am considering buying. I'm gonna stop by Satellite, any other ideas for good record stores in the city? Thanks. |

equipment: if u just wanna try 'em out and stuff...i believe sam ashe on 48th and 7th ave has a big dj section on the 2nd floor of the audio dept. chinatown has a whole bunch of audio stores for cheaper stuff..but they're bitches when it comes to trying stuff out.
record stores: Satellite carries the most trance for sure...Eightball Records on 9th btwn 4th/3rd ave has a small trance selection, more prog and house and some dnb/garage...VinylMarket on St. Marks btwn 1st and Ave. A (i believe...can't remember) has some more prog, dark techy stuff and a old selection of trance...lastly, Decadance on 6th btwn 2nd/3rd Ave has the freshest imports of trance, hard house, prog...BUT at a higher price. :P
