Even thou this site is practically dead, EI needs to be discussed. the EI line up has me second guessing my euro trip this year!

Jamie Jones, AME, Dixon, Bicep, Fatima Yamaha, Guy Gerber, Black Coffee, Get Real (GV & Von Stroke), Andhim, Paul Kalkbrenner, and im most excited about Ben Klock vs Dettmann.
Im not huge on techno but that Dettmann's set last year was the best I have ever heard on the island and i usually go to 3/4 EI's every year.
There's a few repeats but there good repeats like Sven and Tale of Us.
seriously contemplating a season pass.
Did anyone buy the season pass last year, and was able to sell the ones they weren't able to make it to? |

Do you mean just because you'll want to go to all of them? If you buy the season pass, it seems on par or even cheaper than last year when you take into account that there are 5 parties this year. |

The lineup definitely has the who's who of the scene. Sven Vath should be good and interested to see what Guy J will do here. Klock and Dettmann should be solid...it'll probably be at least a 3 hour set. Who's knows, maybe some of the other DJs may go back to back, but the closing down time may prevent it. Coda afterwards might allow for it
(Dixon and Tale of Us would be good, if they come on the same date)
Toronto has brought Europe basically to Canada. But it hasn't deterred me from still going to Ibiza this summer at all lol. I'll enjoy both jams! Hopefully they correct the sound issues that have plagued them for a while. I actually haven't been to the new location, but I remember complaints from others I think. The original location had some issues for sure. |

the dollar is so right now the prices are going to be expensive for individual days... but at least the line ups are going to be stacked with quality... you can deff listen over the fences, I did that last year but you end up getting drawn in so that can be dangerous lol
on the real Electric Island is the best event we have in Canada, the only thing that can touch it could possibly be BeB since they moved it to a warehouse this year, digital dream is a solid festival but most of the stages imo play music and ink runs it now so like yeah...
I compare EI to the old skool labour of love and guv all access events but with current underground music...
All EI is missing is a 2nd lil stage or tent where the headliners warmed up or cooled down... maybe next year... or just move back to the old location on Olympic island that was a magical location... |

I've already booked hotels for Canada Day, Civic and Labour Day. We'll see what the actual line ups are when they are announced. Depending on that, we'll see which ones I'm going to come to.
More than likely either Canada Day or Civic, and Labour Day.
Can't (shouldn't) do May 24 since DEMF is the weekend after. Need to keep money, braincells and party jones in the reserves for that. |
