I drink so much wine it's embarrassing. I was at mt local trader joes, buying about 8 different bottles, as well a litre of bombay safire and the woman on the check out said "oh, having a party eh?".
I had to catch myself form the true reply ("no just a quiet night in"), and go "yeah, having some friends come over".
Love wine, have for years, still like beer and love a good cocktail but wine is the defacto go to.
Need to cut down (especially given how much I'm spending) but have such a passion.
Doesn't help that I moved to California, and we have such incredible wines, and wine culture, not to mention 500 great wineries in Napa are just a 45min plane ride away :gsmile: |

I am planning to visit some myself. Probably start with a few days in Paso Robles. Only interested in sparkling wine myself. Only had non sparkling wine a few times and no thanks haha. But sparkling wine/champagne I think is very good
And trader Joes haha was just having a conversation on why anyone would go anywhere but there for groceries! Cheap and really good generic trader Joes brand stuff! Drinking Trader Jose's brand beer as I write |

Dinner at this guy's house last night. Dude fills a sixteen ounce tumbler with ice and I figure he's going to make himself some kind of mixed drink. Nope. Pours nothing but straight gin into the glass right up to the top. Goes through a couple of those over the next few hours.
Doubt he is giving up drinking anything any time soon! |

3 penis wine is actually real. John Lajoie didn't make that up. |

| Gin is by far the second worst of all hard liquors, second only to baijiu. |

I definitely drink gin on the rocks by itself sometimes, but not a full tumbler of it :wtf:
It would get far too diluted by the time it takes to go through that. |

I love Champagne myself. I'm not too much of a fan of Cava etc, but still like a Cremant.
Paso Robles is ing fantastic for Reds, especially Cabernet (in fact California arguably makes some of the best there is). I think with time you'll learnt to appreciate the reds and whites etc.
If you like sparkling/champagne, make sure you do Schramsberg - probably the best in the USA. Mumm was OK too but it's a bit of a tourist trap. Still worth a visit though.

TJ's for the win lol. They're ing brilliant. Good food, best cheese selection by far and way more deli like than the big grocery stores. Only sucks that you can't get the normal household stuff like laundry detergent and washing up liquid there. I'd go no where else. |

Really? Sparkling wine/champagne completely destroys my head the next day. |
