| i always go out alone. first of all, it is so good to be able to go home when you want and talk to who you want at the club. but on the other hand, i can't walk into a club without seeing at least 10 ppl i know. that is because of various boards i post on. and some of the ppl i have met from the msg boards have actually become real friends. i was seriously depressed over not having friends to go out with 6 months ago but now i almost have too many options every week. take advantage of the toronto TA board - i am sure there are some nice ppl over there you can go out with. |

| my imaginary friend (this is not a joke...my mom will very gladly confirm) was scooby doo. anyway, my advice is to go meet up w/ some TA's. that's the only way you'll find some friends who love trance as much as you do;) i am really picky about my friends too...it's horrible. if they don't like trance (or music in general) as much as i do, i lose interest right away. it's definitely a turn off. some people might think that's nuts but when you are so passionate about something and it plays a major role in your life, i don't see a point in being close with someone who wouldn't support it or share that interest with you. |

It's not horrible at all Slylee...
That is true in all aspects of your life, not just Trance!!
Go where you are celebrated, not tolerated.
Who needs friends that drag you down? |

I can't believe other people here have gone to parties by themselves! I thought I was the only one!:stongue: I met people at the first party I went to alone and I met up with them in TO on later dates. I've also met a few TO TAs at the last couple parties I went to. When I was in England this summer I went to Godskitchen Global Gathering alone and I met tons of people on the bus down there from where I was staying.
....so yes I know what it's like not having any friends who like trance..or electronic music for that matter. |

there really is nothing better than going out by yourself. i mean it helps to know ppl who are there and stuff but if you go out every week it comes to that point eventually. |

Yah out here in Indiana, there is really no scene. Luckily, I have found a couple of people along the way that enjoy electronic music.
I even managed to find a small record store not far from where I live that sells vinyl (mostly house/techno and some trance). |

Talla 2xlc at Viva is going to be MADNESS!!!! you definately do not want to miss it. Lots of Toronto TA's are going to this event so you will meet lots of people there with similar interests. You'll even get to meet Swamper (he's one of the funniest person I have ever met :D )
There's always rollcalls for upcoming Toronto events all the time so why don't you just meet up during these rollcalls. Welcome to the forum. |
