TA birthdays today x 365 is not even close to the total number of members: Theories?

I simply multiplied the number of birthdays today, 41 (if I counted right) times 365 = 14,965. Total number of members is 175,271. These are not even close. In theory, I would think it would be much closer, while not necessarily match exactly. What accounts for the discrepancy?
I am not looking any of this up at the moment but possible theories:
*Mid-April is a slower time for births. (Although, this is a global site and I wonder if the birth data in a place like Australia is the inverse of a place like America or Canada).
*A lot of people put their birthday as January 1 or December 31.
*Today is a statistical anomaly
*Putting your birthday is optional
Idk, seems like the type of puzzle people might find interesting. |

| Well, I think I solved it already. It doesn't look like you have to put your birthday so that is probably the answer. |

Right, I was just being facetious, as Spock credited the phrase to one of his ancestors in that film. Silly Vulcans. First to space and all that. |

Even if you exclude those "born" on 1 January?
I like how the figures plummet month after month, as if January babies were like "OMG, trance!!!" and Decembrists were like "This stuff is so old already!" :p |
