"In an age now where we are operating at such a frightening speed of consumption and assimilation that doesn’t necessarily mean quality control is as it should be, the process of manufacturing and the acquisition of vinyl itself is a process that still takes a more considered time with an approach which involves a pure investment of yourself. There is often a deeper meaning story behind each record ever pressed and so there is a level of substance attached to this which simply is lost in the digital world."
^ So true. |

| There are definitely some better digital releases around, too. But for the most part, that's true. |

| Nice read. I can appreciate what he's saying of course about keeping that connection to music via vinyl collection. i do agree with that. only i don't really see myself buying single EPs anymore, too expensive for too little content. albums on the other hand...i'm all for that. i think collecting and listening to music that way really forces you to be a choosey listener. i'm not going to shell out 25 bucks just for any old album, only the best. |
