I gotta question...who with the djm 300 uses the crossfader? And whos recorded from the 300, when using the crossfader? Was there anything wrong with the recording?

Yep, I have. Sounded fine (on tape). The mixing sounded fine using the cross fader. Though I've been trying out the channel fader method mixing lately and am now a convert, haven't recorded using this method though.

Hey dude whats the DJM 600 like?

I wanted to get one but someone told me the Pioneers have dodgy EQs. Whats your experience with it been like?

cart = cartridge which converts the vibration from the record to sound? its the thingy which holds the needle. old turn table should be fine. its the needle u gotta worry bout. just make sure you don't set the weight too heavily as it'll wear the vinyl, and that you change your needle when required. you can tell when this needs doing by the slight deterioation in sound. also when your needle looks pretty sharp, and starts collecting 'loads' of lint and dust as it plays. continual usage will dig deeper into the grooves, once again wearin out the vinyl.

Honestly mate, I love it as it is easy to use, monitoring is clear, Levels for each channel, at home it sounds fine. It's rugged, knobs are a great diameter on the fingers (not too thin not too thick, just right), the crossfader (if u use it) is perfect as it isn't sticky and effects are a bonus. On big PA it has been said that this mixer isn't clear etc....all depends on who you ask though....I love it for what I use it for and i'm not replacing it in any hurry.

Hope that helps bud.
