is there any way to do arpeggiator automation, but in real time?
having to do it with an automation clip would take hours and would be like reverse engineering. if i could press it on and off/change the settings where and when i want it, and have it save that, i could do it in real time.
also, what do you think of arpeggiators in general? are they the devil? |

Automate the on/off button of the arpeggio on the synth. If the synth doesn't allow you to do so you'll be reverse engineering, or automating the volumen to turn it down for a few bits. Perhaps you could also just sample the part you need and play it as audio.
Arps are cool. |

when i jab the arp on/off rhythmically live, it creates a good effect.
can't i save this action so it plays back like this? |

That's pretty hard to answer without knowing what you are using. |

Its kind of ironic. when you take chords and flip on the arp. Usually sounds a lot like the melody.. I guess that's how you know if you have a viable progression. When that's all you have to do and the arpeggiated melody sounds wonderful.. |
