where is trance popular in the states?

Hey guys
just a quick question
I was wondering where is the states trance is still popular?
Like good melodic, uplifting, epic, or hard trance (NOT PROGRESSIVE)
is there any particular cities where its bigger than others?
what cities in NY state? or the whole country would be a good bet?

new york is a house city - you can find every genre of music here but it is dominated by house. |

from my travels miami is the only place that likes melody - god knows why - maube its the latin flawor/heat that demands it :)
the best music that NY has to offer (that is truly NY IMHO) is deep house -Johnathn Peters style...and maybe some tribal from Danny [Tanaglia]
not a singe trance residency... god i cant wait for paul to confirm his residency here...even if its bi-annual...
only trance that NY area has to offer is underground GOA raves... but they go only in the summer... there are some in the winter but they are fewer and much smaller... you gotta be in the sceen to find out about them tho'

| trance was semi big around here before I found out about it evidently. There is still and underground cult I've met, but DnB has taken over. I really like my scene, but I crave melody every once in a while, the ppl around here seem to not get it, they want everything low deep and dark all the time. Sometimes it gets too cold and mechanical to me, I feel like trance has a little bit more soul to it. I dunno, I'm having a good time, but trance is rare in North Carolina, and don't be hatin on NC until you see it. There's a lotta awesome stuff comin from here these days. |
