Just saw the movie again on tv now (already saw it two times in theatre)
So I thought about making a topic...
What u think of this movie?
I know half the people will say ing crap, the others say pure class.
Well although the movie sucked on tv (due to ing commercials which brought you out of the mood, atmosphere)
it's so damn good
I love it, watching it whole alone, sound loud, and a dark place, the movie is so full of atmosphere. I love it!
I know many will have different feeling on it, so say what u got to say! |

Why he dies?
He dies because the ol' lady in the beginning of the movie told about the witch and she said she only kills when the other person stands in the corner of the room, while the other watches, getting it now ;) |

When this movie first came out, I was with my highschool (American)Football team at a camp in the woods out in the middle of nowhere(supposed to be a bonding experience.) On our last night there we took a bus into the city to go to the movies. Almost everyone saw the Blair Witch Project. I really liked the movie, because it played with your mind and didn't rely on Hollywood special effects to scare you. Needless to say, when we left the theatre and went back to the camp it was a little unsettling. I wouldn't say that we were all scared less or anything, but we definately had something to think about while trying to sleep that night. :nervous:
I knew that the second one would suck, and I was right. Pure commercial . |

| It's either a love it or hate it film. I think it was a pretty cever idea to come up with. I found the ending rather disappointing. All that climax building up near the end, I was expecting something more. |

You do realize that this movie cost less than $40,000 to make right? Compare that to the millions and sometimes hundreds of millions that Hollywood productions get and I think that these people did rather well with what they had. Also, the "stupid camera" was used to give the film a realistic feel. Remember, this is supposed to be a documentary made by college students, they are not going to have access to $20,000 cameras. Like the movie or not, I can't see how you can criticize the film makers for poor production. I'd like to see you take $40,000 and make a movie that grosses over $248,000,000 worldwide. |

I loved the movie, like someone said, NO special effects, only pure atmosphere created by the setting and the actors. This movie has to be watched in a dark place with the sound UP. In the end when the girl is in the house . One of the best movies of its genre in my book!
P.S.
I think the movie cost $20,000 USD... |
