| Decided to go to the event day of. Glad I did. Got there in time for Thrillseekers. I enjoyed it. Solid although he played a little too much 140 for my taste. His signature style is usually a little bit slower and more melodic. Then M.I.K.E. Push came on a delivered his past to present set. I was happy to hear Universal Nation and Strange World. I think his set was the best executed overall. The big surprise for me was Ferry Tayle. I nice balance of uplifting. Not too cheese. Then Aly & Fila came on. It was ok. A little generic and pop for my taste, but the crowd seemed to be having fun. After that was Sean Tyas. He played a half hour of that tech psy which isn't my thing at all but the second half was better. Stayed for half of Arctic Moons set and then left. Overall was a pretty good time. You can tell the veterans chill in the back and dance. Governers Island is a solid venue. No complaints about the crowd. They seemed to be in good spirits and responsible. Ran into a lot of people I knew (including TA's Ay Star and ViperX29) And the weather was perfect. Overall was a really good time. Couldn't ask for more. |
