Because when you only have a small handful of people who submitted events and then hundreds if not thousands of people who just read events (often times not even engaging in the threads for events they even go to) it starts to not become a priority for those few who submit events

Also the other reasons people listed, but I think this is a big one. It takes time and effort to put in many event's details / post links to tickets / etc.

Honestly, it's a sad thing to say but Facebook groups are where I have been going recently.

It's weird though, I tend to notice the EDM ones are sometimes super spammy. The Honda and automotive ones I am in and participate in are 100 times more active then the forums that created the FB groups.

I wonder how a west coast TA FB group would work out?

Not trying to steal TA's thunder swamper, just a thought that might get people going again? Because actually attracting them back on here is almost impossible, I would think :/

forums in general for the most part have declining traffic... it is what it is...

All good! I'm just joking around lol. Also FB groups are very spammy.... people just pop in, dump a link, and leave. People aren't motivated to write up something big because it may not get any traction ...AND... even if it does, it may get buried after a day never to be seen (or linked to) again!

Also add to the fact that DJ events are so prevalent that most of them no longer have people excited for days/weeks/months at a time in anticipation... and it was those kinds of events that had people write up paragraphs upon paragraphs about how the party was/etc. You're lucky to get a few sentences on an instagram post now.... and the blog sites that exist (and post reviews) usually keep it safe for fear they'll lose their media credentials the next time around.

Objective party/music reviews are the hardest thing to find these days. :/

Ain't that the ing truth.

Seen it first had at a couple Insomniac Events, where went down and I'm surprised not to see anything in their media.

Same goes with the local news papers the ones that review the events, don't like to take a stab at them. It's the ones that don't give a about edm and are constantly against the events actually throw dirt.

Deaths are the ones that really get them talking...
