long followed anjunadeep on soundcloud, was surprised how deep this was in places though

I went to an Anjunadeep party in London this last weekend, as it happens. Patrice Baumel was the headliner. I thought it was a really good party. The crowd were great. There's no denying that their brand of deep house is as fluffy as it gets, but they're increasingly booking and commissioning credible names for their releases and parties.

I have been a fan for years now and go to their WMC party every year down here. It's always my favorite party of the year.

i went back on soundcloud and found a few more sets listed as deep house, still a bit flowery for my liking but interesting in that there didnt seem to be any leaning towards a beatport progressive type of sound at all
i had always associated anjundadeeep with being a kind of trance-lite sound but they seem to be trending ever more towards actual deep house lately

Remember when Anjunadeep was prog house/prog trance/proglifting?

They've been going that way for the best part of four years now. They're a lot better at lightweight deep house than they were at lightweight prog.

There's gonna be an Anjunadeep tent at Electric Zoo this year and I'm extremely hyped for it. Lineup looks excellent:

Ame, Lane 8, Moon Boots, Yotto, Cubicolor, and a live set from WOW.

I'd have just gone on Friday to see that lineup, but a few friends are going the other days so might as well get the 3 day pass...
