No, this isn't a thread bump from 2006 lol. But does anyone on here know how to mod a Wii? A friend of mine got hers modded so that she has every Nintendo and Sega game on her Wii. Unfortunately she doesn't speak to the guy who did it for her anymore so I can't get him to do it. I am hesitant to take it to the Pacific Mall in case I get ripped off. I know there's a risk of damaging the system whenever it's modified but at least if it's someone I know I would feel a bit better about the risk. |

come on just hit up your friends ex and get him to mod that wii for her again.
for real though just read through on reddit:

looks pretty straight forward to me, no need to hardware mod the thing. just pop in some sd cards and let it rip. like jailbreaking iphones |

I actually did try sending him a message on FB years ago after they had broken up. Offered to buy him some beer in exchange. He wouldn't even respond to the message! Lol. He's somewhat childish and won't even acknowledge my friend's existence if they run into each other.
I'll check out the link though. Thanks :) |

I've modded about 3 for my nephews and when I had one back in the day. There are a lot of ways to do it but its not too amazingly hard.
you do need an sd card, it sucks because there are quite a bit of sd cards it doesnt accept because its not made for newer cards, I did get a recent 16gb samsung one to work though.
Unless things have changed you also need a normal standard wiimote without the wii-motion plus thing on the bottom of the controller because some of the menu's dont accept ones that have them.(for modding purposes)
If I were to do it though it would be a bit convoluted, there would be some menu diving you would have to do before running the games but I could write down the procedure its not tough, just navigating through some paths on the sd card to load the game.
I mean I could probably do it for you within a few days if you supply the sd card and perhaps a USB stick or something to put some games on(if you want wii games). Last time I checked it was a bitch getting some of those non-popular games, or if its even possible to torrent anymore. SNES / Sega / NES / TG16 is not a problem. |
