Today a colleague told me he had been browsing on http://musicmap.info/ (for Metal) and thought was it very interesting. He told me there was a lot of trance too, so I had a quick look.
I think that musicmap looks stunning especially when zooming in on a genre using the scroll-wheel of your mouse. When moving the cursor over a sub-genre you can see relations. I must explore it further.
Most here know about Iskur's guide http://techno.org/electronic-music-guide/. This one at least looks a lot more modern I would say.
