hey,
I'm considering to buy about 12 records on Juno but you have to pay with visa. I'd like to know how you can be sure that they don't rip you of like taking all your money of your account or something like that. What gives you the insurance that they don't do stuff like this because you don't sign any papers like you have to when you pay with visa in a shop

well if u use pretty common sense.. when using ur credit card.! it cant go wrong! places, like juno, only-djs, chemicahl-records, homerun etc.. have a pretty sure system! and what u over! cause those stores lives of selling 12"s and if thy get in trouble with just one person.. the word can be spread pretty fast.. and they will loose customers! |

| i don't know of any dj sites ripping people off. I'm sure if you order of the well known sites (which ive been doing forever) your not gonna get your visa ripped off. and if they do, you can sue them for a load of money. make sure to always save your receipts on your computer. don't worry too much. |

check the security certificate at the bottom right hand corner of ur internet explorer window, it looks like a little lock (it should pop up when you are in juno's shopping cart) |

| For Belgium, I think only-djs works pretty well... it does over here for me in Holland.. They ship pretty fast (3 days or so), and if you don't want to pay by credit card there are lots of other ways to pay there.. And they can be trusted. |

| If you're worried about it, just make sure to check your visa statement. If they rip you off, then you can them over |

well if you look closer, some of juno's vinyls are actually cheaper than buying from chemical records. some of them are only 3.99 GBP and that includes VAT which they will deduct if you live outside of UK. at chemical, their records are 4.51 GBP and that does not include VAT so you won't get a further reduction on the price.
3.99 - VAT + Shipping (3.60) at juno is approx. 7.10 GBP
4.51 + Shipping (2.20) at chemical is approx. 6.71 GBP
so its not as bad as it appears. however, i must say that i order from chemical much more often than juno though.
as long as you stay away from dutch/german/belgian and other imports the price is somewhat fair.
anyway, before ordering from anywhere, make sure you do a checkup on the site/companies reputation before giving out your credit card details. |

That's only to "prevent" a third-party from snatching your credit card info from the net. But Tilt was asking about the store itself misusing the card number.
Tilt, there really is no sure guarantee against this thing. Credit card shopping is always a gamble, even in a physical store. As some have mentioned, though, always checking up on the reputation of the store you are buying from will reduce the risks considerably.
I've never ordered from Juno - I've heard a few gripes about them once in a while. Chemical is very reliable, imo. Can't go wrong with them.
(Aside: no encryption technology is perfect - if someone really wanted to get your credit card info as it is being transmitted, they could, whether you would like it or not) |

| You obviously can never totally be sure but I have nothing but positive things to say about Juno (as someone ordering from the states) |
