What exactly is Instagram for?

I've been thinking about creating an Instagram account, but should I bother doing it before I get really shredded and travel the world shirtless documenting my every meal?

There has got to be more to it than this :p

It's great for selfies and showing the more visual side of yourself that you don't want your general Facebook to see, only enthusiasts. Personally I don't generally go for girls that don't have Instagram because they're not vain enough for me.

It's basically a site where you post the pictures you truely want to post. It's a place where you don't have every picture you get tagged in on Facebook, only the ones you truely choose are on there. You can also post a lot of selfies if that's what you want.

To stalk on fake girls' profiles and get fake bot followers.

Basically (very basically) Instagram is a photo orientated version of Facebook. Marcus, does your phone even have a camera? I thought you went old-skool Nokia or something :p If you're not interested in posting a lot of pics, then IG is likely a waste of your time, unless there are some people you particularly want to follow for the lulz or whatever. And, from what I see, most people seem to have their IG accounts linked to FB anyway, so you'll get the same pics on two platforms. Also, many #####Hashtags.

Take that with a grain of salt though. I do not have an IG account, lol.

lol'd at that

I also find that random girls are way more likely to like your photos on Instagram than Facebook. So it's quite useful to know who might be keen.

I do have an Instagram account and I'd be interested in seeing other people's if they want to share. https://www.instagram.com/liam_h_david/?hl=en

Apparently no one, according to that account you shared.

This. Instagram is a game, it's all about how many bots you can get to follow you.
Mr.Mystery
I just noticed I wrote "fake bot."

So you decided to post an unprompted insult that isn't true based on about 20 seconds of research... This reminds me why I don't post in the COR anymore. Nothing good comes out of that level of negativity. Also welcome to ignore list.

For me, Instagram is an incredible tool for my job. It's free surveillance that documents all sorts of things I couldn't get an investigator to observe. You simply wouldn't believe the amount of times I'm reviewing a claim for someone who claims they are too injured to work but apparently they can hike, ski, travel, etc. I get a ton of evidence from Instagram that I just couldn't get otherwise.

Oh, yeah, clearly lots of random girls are keen on you and your $5 scene-kid haircut.

I'll never cease to be amazed by just how stupid some people are. I'd love to see their faces when it's brought to their attention.
