i have been looking for this dope track, however it is an acetate label. If anyone has any suggestions on how i can locate this please let me know. thanxxxx

well pretty much the only way of getting an acetate is to be good friends with the people who are making the track or directly involved with the production. Also being a world-class DJ helps sometimes ... hehe.

Utopia, What are you asking about? Record label?.. or Type of record?

im asking where i can get a record John"00"Flemming-mooga.
it is off an acetate label which is pretty hard to get your hands on.
breakdown
there are "Acetates" out there which u won't really be able to "buy" unless u got the contacts and stuff..
but there is a label out there called Acetate Records.. which isn't too difficult to obtain..
John Fleming - MOoga is an "acetate" so if u haven't already got it, or can find a White label, u'll have to wait till release, or snoop around 2 nd hand shops

Although, acetates make nice collector copies, if it's something that you're going to play a lot, you're probably gonna want to find it on vinyl because acetates can only be played a number of times before they wear out. They also break real easy. Usually, I've found, that if there has been an acetate made and it's something that is headed for eventual release, there usually is test pressings made on vinyl (which can be easier to obtain) before it goes into final production. If you know what record company is going be putting it out, sometimes, if you write to them and request a pre-release copy (explain that you're a DJ, etc.)
they will quite often send you a copy (or 2). They are often willing to do this because it is free promotion for them. This is especially true with your "less known" artists as opposed to a long awaited release from a well known artist.

Thanks for being so helpful and informative. Thats where I seem to be running into problems. I have no idea where I can get a hold of it or who to contact. They just infomed me that it is an acetate label and that i will probably never find it unless I know someone in that particular loop, or am a world famous DJ! But yes, vinyl is what I want. Johnny, if you hear anything could you let me know?
Thanxx and never quit searching for that sweet sound!
