Well since alot of ppl don`t really like the final of DJ Magazine's 2002 Top100, then I`m makin a similar thread. One comment to the 2002 Top100 Dj`s is that Tiesto won maybe cause he spun such long sets at most places, Dutch Dimension, Haoman, Space, etc, then that`s why he won, no so many ppl did that excpet Paul van Dyk, but he is there in top 10.

This thread isn`t about that. I want all of u to give me, a dj who played the BEST set in your opinion in TORONTO, I don`t care about other places, okay NYC can be included cause PvD is or will be spinnin there very soon as I type, so ppl might want to vote for him, but Tiesto was already here and Armin also.

My vote goes too...I didn`t go to alot of sets, so I don`t give no vote for no one.

I`ll count the votes in december before I`ll leave for Poland.

Sander K, John 00 Flemming and Dave Seaman did the best sets.

Out of all the big names that I've heard in this city this year, most of them performed like ! Yes, you've heard me say it... why? Because some of them think so highly of themselves that they found it ok to play just downright anything and expect it to be welcomed with amazement (I won't put any names down at the moment, cuz then I'll have hundreds of you busting my chops for it). But only a few names deserve the title of being some of the world's top DJs --> Tiesto, for one, even tho he's playing the same over and over in every club he visits and is getting on my nerves a bit, he still takes the title for that talent and skill... (he rocked the Forza in Montreal, respect!)

Close second are Satoshi Tomiie and Steve Lawler... why them? Just because those 2 champs played such amazing sets, with so much energy & uniqueness that I only managed to recognize 3 tracks in the whole night! Now that's my type of a party! None of this "if he plays Wallhalla this time again, I die" e... creativity, energy, uniqueness, effort is what I am looking for, and so far this year I haven't seen that (then again, I've missed half of the parties that happened around here).

And the third spot I leave for the Deep Dish guys (Sep. 1), for the reasons stated above (creativity, effort, etc).

Everyone else that I've heard was just all right... nothing special, the usual. Bah...

right now, in my 3 months of hearing big names live in TO, id say DAve Seaman caught my ear the best eeven more than armin and corsten
mecha
dave the man SEAMAN just blew the out of TO last time.

Up to this date.... i cannot forget....
Armin Van Buuren SEPT 1st @ GUVERNMENT. :o
bluE_Neon
Lee Burridge, Meat Katie, Hybrid, John 00 Fleming & Tom Stephan...these guys had the most uniqueness in each every set...i cant forget the time when John dropped Ecano - Run (Z2 Mix), totally killed me that time :)
trancearmada
a lot of you will think my pics are cheesy but oh well......

best party - Ferry Corsten - Feb 2002 @ Guvernment (yeah Gino factor was in effect but I enjoyed my self to the fullest, even though he spun a lot of classics, I still loved it, every second of it)
best DJ - Marco V @ Viva
best party atmosphere - nothing comes to mind at the moment I am still recovering after just getting home from work and after last nights at Arek's
worst party experience - Labour of Love

I still have not seen Dave Seamen cause I was too drunk last time I went to see him and can't recall anything and besides I was already outside by the time he came on. But there is always the next time...
Curious Jed
J00F at System was unreal, and i'll also give an odd but unreal vote to Underworld at Koolhaus based solely on the vibe and energy in the place....in Mayhem

I will also give a vote to Paul Glazby whenever he is brought over to play here...please someone!

SOS2 Galvatron
I'm Glad Tiesto is finally #1 !!! ;) I hope it's b/c of trance ... not b/c of the new he's spinning.

He deserves this spot from day one !!! BIG UP TIESTO !!!

True true...I agree with what u said, cept for the Tiesto bit. And even tho I didn't see Satoshi and Steve, I'm sure they owned, like you said. What did u think of Seaman and Sander? I don't think anyone will match those 2 sets for a while. And which DJ's do you think were slacking off this year???

I so wish I went for Lawler/Tomiie, as well as Lee Burridge :(
