Hmm, I use Reason 1.01 (my comp doesnt handle 2.0 very well), and a Novation K-Station

Can't get it working with Cubase SX, so I'm just sampling it atm and putting it into the NN-19

nice setup u got there...as for me im new to producing and just recently got..

-REason 2.0
-Midiman Oxygen 8
-Alesis QS7 (not really mine (my dad's) but yea..)
-Korg IX300 workstation (also my dad's)

Im thinking of saving and getting the AkaiMPC4000 and possibly a drum machine once I know more about this producing game..

do you guys think its worth buying the akaiMPC4000 and a drum machinE? I mean..I wanna go both hardware and software not just software..a studio wouldnt look right without any hardware equips;)
Pjotr G
You're coming from PC so I'm assuming you want to stick with software sequencing (?) . If so, skip the MPC4000 and buy the Akai z4 or z8 sampler instead, it's what the sampler part of the MPC4000 is based on, except you'll lose the sequencer. And drummachines, if you're not gonna buy the entire Roland TR-series, you can always look into the Elektron Machinedrum...it is STUNNING...tweak away!

FJBR,

Have you tried running your tannoys straight off your soundcard? The reason I'm asking is because I have a Vestax PCV 275 (might have made an error on the model number) and everything that goes through it sounds like crap. I can't imagine that your Gemini mixer is any better. You'll probably get better sound quality if you bypass that mixer all together. Just a suggestion.

i only use fruityloops with some plugin.. right now i only have FM7, simsynth and wasp, but i will fix some more sometime when i feel for it...

i have a Roland MC-303 also, but i haven't plugged it into the computer yet... i'm to lazy to figure out how to do.. what i need and so... maybe someone here know??
