What makes a good set and a Good DJ??

well im so in pissed of right now, ive heard enough
people on Tranceaddict act like the people they like should be number one all over the world.....
heres the deal...whats good to one can be aweful to another..we gotta learn to respect each other's likes and dislikes...for example, when the top 100 dj lists was put up, yes Tiesto may be the most popular DJ but that means that alot more peopl like his music and that what makes someone #1.....who said that grammys or emmys are always fair, noone....thats cos they dont neccesarily like all the choices made by the board...but the board gives the award based on popularity and what the majority of people like
recently when all the flaming started, alot of people were flaming DJs directly and other TAs just because they didnt like the set and the other liked it.....
heres one last line
"One mans poison is another mans candy"
all of you that cant live in acceptance of other's choice in music
PS. i say all of this because DO listen to all kinds of music and dont shun it away because it falls in a certain genre..i listen to a track before i say its bull |

tru .. which is why i never commented in that Top 100 DJ's thread..
obviously the choices are subjective.. no one's word is law.. (except for LKD's right?), and i'm sure that list was probably voted on by editors, producers, and other industry people but i don't understand why some people take it so seriously.. it's just like what you mentioned about the Grammy's and Oscar's. Is Miss Universe the most beautiful woman in the world? Again stuff like this is only relative..
I just found it very ironic tho how they put a trance DJ on #1 and 4, and Progressive DJ's #2 and 3 haha .. almost like they're purposely trying to balance things out .. :D |

heh lkd i share this view with you, my idea is that music is not good or bad, just preferred
this not only goes for different djs, but for all genres as well
so saying that one dj can be good to one person but bad to another is the same as saying rap sucks to one person but is amazing to another. |

why get mad every dj was voted based on his popularity that year they had to touich people enough to make them vote for them.in some cases some people voted becauz of the name was going around all over the place and some voted by personal choice ,and finally that resulted in a top 100 list with tiesto on top of it. it's ok so we repeat take a chill pill and let people talk and say whatever they want ..maybe not everyone knows what they are talking about but they will learn
IMO And lets not judge music by gendre cauz it defers from one to another and bla bla bla ........................... |
