I am enjoying a lot of prog house, prog trance music from south american djs like Hernan Cattaneo , Martin Garcia, Marcelo Vasami. Fernando Ferreyra. There is more out there. But listening to these guys inject some novelty into their sets makes them stand out. I am listening right now to Cattaneo first master series compilation from 2004. https://www.discogs.com/Hern%C3%A1n.../release/235846. It still sounds great after all these years. Tons of good stuff out there

It does seem like the two hotbeds for prog house are South America and Israel these days. There is a lot of good stuff coming out of South America, but I'm not sure I agree they all "inject some novelty into their sets". I actually find a lot of these DJs (aside from Cattaneo) can play in the slightly flat, overly smooth style that can make progressive quite forgettable.

I'm welcome to be proven wrong, though, so feel free to post some sets you think stand out as excellent.

Here is a good example of what I mean. It has a nice organic feel to it. Its not plodding prog, just a good prog trance set.
