There is no lower form of human life than anime fans. People who say things like "baka~" and talk about which cartoon character they would choose to be their "waifu". There is a new guy at my work who is working on an "anime suggestion search engine" where you can plug in keywords and it will suggest an anime for you.
Let's use this thread to talk about how they are a bunch of ing degenerates and should never reproduce! you, weebs! Disgusting losers! |

| We used to get stoned and turn on Dragon Ball Z, kill the volume, and play trance to see how often the on screen action synced up with the supersaws. Powerpuff Girls would also work, in a pinch. :toothless |

I almost don't even really consider DBZ to be anime. It technically is, but it's more of a fighting/face smashing cartoon with absurd power levels and ridiculous storylines.
All the other crap out there, though, yes.
This got me thinking earlier, a weeb can never date a non-weeb, because non-weebs find weebs ing weird and offputting. I'm not even sure which is more pathetic, weeb girls or weeb boys. They are both desperate losers seeking fantasy worlds that don't exist while their parents search Google every day for queries like "where did I go wrong raising my child" |

Haven't encountered anyone like this for years. I presume they're still out there and going strong, though.
I lived with some guys at university who liked a lot of anime (without quite being as pathetic as Nick's examples), and they showed me a few things. Akira, Ghost In The Shell, Afro Samurai were all decent, and I really enjoyed Cowboy Bebop. That's pretty much the limit of what I can tolerate, though. |

The interesting thing about these shows is that they were introduced to Western culture at the beginning of the Internet boom, and also dubbed with Western voice actors, so the "anime/weeb" factor was taken out almost completely. Same with DBZ. You start getting into really sticky territory when the show is entirely Japanese and anime nerds start to emulate the characters. |
