how does the whole headphone monitor setup thing work
i have only 1 sound card and one of the 1.x versions of Traktor DJ...

when i use an Audio Doohicky, and press on the deck letters, one song is in one ear, and the other in the remaining one... all very good, but it just so happens one song is in one speaker and the other in the remaining one... :whip: how do i get it so the playing track is in the speakers and the other track in my phonez?

You need two soundcards.
You set Traktor up to use one soundcards that is connected to your
speakers as "main" and the other that you have connected your phones
to as the other.

Guess you could do some kind of solution where you put the phones in
one of the outputs from the soundcard if your soundcard supports 4
or more speakers, IF Traktor supports that.

Otherwise, just get a cheap SB16 or something to use for your phones.
Just remember to not use two soundcards of the same model, not two SB16, two Live! etc.

Long time no see guys, I aint posted in a while, but when I saw a thread to do with my favourite mixing program, well damn I thought i'd post. :D

I've had the official release for just under a week now, & what a beast it is, its got a lot more features that the 1st, aswell as better BPM reading, and looping facilitys. The waveform can also see highs now, as well as lows, not to mention it looks far better. The only downside i've seen so far is that they mentioned 10 loops, unluckily as far as I can tell its only got one loop system, like the first.

If anyone wants a more detailed post of Traktor, i'll be more than happy to post.

Oh and you don't need 2 soundcards, 2 soundcards is preferable, but it works just as well with one. I'm running a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz in DirectX Full duplexing, and I got no probs with Traktor (or any other mixing program for that matter) seeing my 2nd Ouput.
