The Sunset Session @ Club Waterfront 01.04.17 [Everything]

I've been DJing a lot with my mate Rob, AKA Deerskin recently. A couple of weekends back we got together on a Saturday and smashed out a 5 hour set as the sun went down. We did two hours each separately and then an hour B2B at the end.

This set contains basically everything we love about dance music in 2017. There's slow-down jams, disco, house, techno, progressive and melodic tech in there, starting at 103bpm and going through to 123. It's basically a self-contained club night, from warm up to close, and we're very happy with how it turned out.

You can take Parts 2 and 3 as my latest "proper" set, as I won't be able to play this lot in a better sequence than I got here.

I should add that Rob plays one extremely dodgy tune quite early on (and I think you'll know immediately which one it is), but please don't let it put you off what follows.

cool mix. really liked it
SYSTEM-J
Cheers man. I know longer sets aren't easy to get into at home, so respect due for getting through it so quickly.

Hah, yeah, Rob did play one or two tracks that were a bit much for me, but overall I very much enjoyed this. The overall progression and your two different but complementary/similar styles really made this a joy to listen to. Will probably grab a few tracks off it if I do another mix anytime in the future! The only thing I thought would have been better is if the B2B portion was also two hours, as I was really liking that and didn't want it to end :)

Also, I don't think I quite like 'Nightfalls.' I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I know it's built around the vocal and all, but the vocal feels out of place to me - maybe just because I know the original (and original remixes) so well.
SYSTEM-J
Thanks mate. Interesting that you don't quite like Nightfalls. I don't know the original that well, but it's an absolute weapon for me.

Sounds intriguing indeed, definitely gonna check this out! :)
