hey guys
id like to know what i must do and how much it will cost to do my own vynil.
I mean I just want 2 copies of a tune i did
any idea? |

| Well, you'll need to find a place that makes dub plates in your city for one. Cost depends on the size if vinyl you want, if you want a record cut double sided or not, etc. There's a place in toronto that makes dub plates for like 130$CAD each. I doubt they would actually press just 2 copies of your track, so you'd have to go with a dub plate. |

what is dub plates?
I was trying to look for somewhere that I can press few copies of my tracks to vinyl too just for fun or something haha :)
anywhere?
coz i usually heard u must press them in bulk..
but i wonder if i can do like just 2-3 copies too |

| A dub plate is where they actually cut the record for you using a cutter like the vestax one john metioned. Difference between dub plates and pressed records is dub's don't last for nearly as many plays. Yes pressed records only cost 7ish dollars (canadian), but you have to get a pressing run of several hundreds. So to get 1 or two copies you either have to buy your own cutter which is REALLY expensive, or get a couple dub plates cut for you. |

| Sure, but you have to order like 100 minimum. They have to setup their machinery to do your run, which would be far to much work for that many copies. |
