I organised my first sort-of-international event at university, and the guest speaker was a really cool guy from Portugal. Very inspiring work about the history of the Portuguese language (and Galician). I had a blistering headache by the time I got home because of a few problems I had to deal with, but it was all well worth it. Nothing some aspiring and pizza couldn't fix :D

Eurovision Song Contest in the evening.
I don't get why the Romanians are yodelling this year, but I love it. Quite sad the epic sax guy from Moldova didn't make it to the semifinals though :(

They wanted to be absolutely sure they didn't win :)
We do that by sending professional singers for the 4th time in a row :)

Just saw that guy in the finals, but how many times can someone say "Hey mama" in one song before it gets annoying? Ten does it for me.

Awww, come on! It's so quirky, so catchy, and they're beating the Swiss and the Austrians at their own turf! All their act needs is some more cows and they're on their path to eternal glory :p

Actually they would need sheep :)

In Romanian traditional folk music yodeling takes the form of ”horea cu noduri”, mostly used by shepherds to call their sheep or as a way of expressing sorrow.

Saturday afternoon here. I basically did all today, it was great.
I'm currently drinking wine and listening to trip-hop.
Tomorrow is clean up day, because the house is a ing mess, and it's the council kerbside collection week for the year in my suburb, so we've got to get all our large, throw-away bits and pieces of out on the road. Busted chairs, an old couch, dead BBQ, the old dishwasher, and some other random . Can't wait. Should be stimulating.
yeah, best. We just did a big spring tidy up as well. I love purging.

Say what now!? The Romanians I've met are a bit on the gloomy side, but singing your sorrows to sheep is a bit too much even for their standards :p
(and lol at the video)

Desperately needed to get some work done this weekend, but friends I haven't seen in a year visiting ruined that goal completely =/

Well, you're timing regarding kids and backwards listening is amazing :)
Last Friday, she can talk backwards :)
Listen at 1:32 LOL that sounds devilish!!
The new voting setup didn't work this year. Three votes and the end result was clear.
Greece and Cyprus don't need to call in any more, we know who get's their 12 points without any singing :)
What did I say, our girl were 5th after jury votes. Only got 15 point by televoting of which 10 were from Belgium. Most of Europe is deaf.
