I just picked up New York FM by Breeder (RHYSYN011) and er.... it sounds the same as "sputnik" to me.

Can anyone clarify if there actually is any difference and if a track named sputnik exists.

I have the bootleg white label also that has Narcotik - Conditions on the B side its not the full mix.

This is what Discogs says on the white label release:

"Sputnik on this 12" is cut from a John Digweed set, this is not the full track and fades out at the end as John begins to mix out.

Conditions is the original mix cut from Anthony Pappa Nubreed CD1 it also fades out at end as Anthony begins to mix out."

It's definitely the same track though.

Yes I own that vinyl also and that's my comment after spending $60 to find out its a bootleg.

They Cut Sputnik from digweed global underground CD, and they cut Narcotik from the Nu Breed Anthony Pappa CD. Wankers.

This has really confused me, I always thought New York FM was a different track to Sputnik, I cannot believe I only noticed today

I think whats happened is I never heard the original New York Fm I only ever heard the Van Bellen Mix of it

Also makes sense now why Sputnik is nowhere to be found on vinyl (apart from that bootleg).... because it's not called Sputnik they must have renamed it after digweeds Global Underground CD.

There is some slight differences from his CD to the release I bought today but only some FX and such. Still same tune.
