DJ_Shockwav

I might be blowing smoke out my ass here, but I believe 1210's are the european versions and run off a different wattage than 1200's, which are aimed at the United States. I think you can get an SL1200 in black or sliver, and a SL1210 in either finish as well.

Someone correct me if im wrong because I'm in the market for technics.

you are correct...1210s are euro but it's easy enuff to buy an adapter. i have both and there are no noticeable differences. think technically, there may be differences in the spec sheets or something..but for all practical purposes, i hear/feel no difference.
DJ_Shockwav
yea, that's what i was talking about

i knew they wouldn't have a different model number just for a color change

I thought that the 1200's are discontinue and came up with the 1210 models.

DJ_Shockwav
it's the operating voltage that's different between the 1200 and 1210 not color (although you can get an adapter)
and the differences between the mk2 and m3d have been hashed over many times
but here they are again
pitch reset button
clickless pitch
spot for extra cart
recessed power switch
and the m3d comes with slipmats (i think)

i'm pretty sure you can get the mk2 in both silver and black, but i've only seen silver for the m3d

if anyone has anything to add, go right ahead, the more complete info the better
i probably didn't get everything as something probably slipped my mind
JohnSmith
that's all correct shockwav.

also the m3ds have dustcovers without hinges which is really annoying.

and you can get them in black as well.
