Well, I saw Tiesto play a 3 hour set last Friday at 1015. I can't remember everything, but a lot of my fun was hampered by the fact that I was sick and dancing just plain hurt. Here is my review:

He was very into his work, dancing around and playing with the audience. Trying to throw records onto the spindle (which he failed every time) and holding records up into the air for everyone to see. For the first hour he was on, he played a set VERY similar to his last sets recently (which was a good thing), but in his second hour he took everyone on a Magik Journey. He started playing a lot of techno songs and songs with minimal breakdowns that complemented each track in order perfectly. We went up, and we went down, some of us got lost.... All of these second hour songs were new to me, never heard before tracks (and I listen to A LOT of trance). He brought the magikal journey back with Suburban train which was the pinnacle of the night for me. His last hour was kind of a blur to me now, so I wont comment on it, He kinda pissed me off, because when he was done he just stopped the song right at the break and left. Too bad I was sick, because this would have been a great night otherwise.

Some pics can be seen here: http://www.vahan.com/gallery <--- I'm not in any of those pics so don't even bother to try and identify me.

After see'ing Tiesto play I now have a good idea of his style compared to my other favorite DJ's:

Oakenfold - Plays songs I know (which is good), and knows when to play them

Tiesto - Takes you on a Magik journey, but you can get lost.

PVD - Bangs the out of you. Hypes you to hell and back and will work the audience into a complete frenzy to the point of exhaustion.

Oakenfold wins the best DJ award for me.
