yeah thats definately true, at the recent Tidy Weekender "the worlds premier hard house artists", well over half were trance DJ's anyway, and I didn't actually here much hard house, about an hour on the first night, 20 minutes on he second, and none on the third. Hard Trance > Hard House

grrr, for the last time,,, THIS AINT HARDSTYLE!!!!!!!! sorry for my harshness, but it aint hardstyle..... hardstyle r the likes of tuneboy, technoboy. giada, atlantic wave etc etc etc.... yoji is hard house, but a little trancey, but he plays verything on +12, scot project is hard trance, and the same goes for dj overdog and yomc! :) |

ok lets list some folk that do hardstyle aka harddance - AKA the nu wave of fast synth'ed out 4/4 with a hardhouse attitude.. alot of the newer releases from these folk fall into the "hardstyle" or "harddance" category

What I dont get is, if Scot P & Dumonde's stuff falls into the same category (Hard Trance), why are they so different?
Scot's got these pounding basslines, insane build-ups and ear-shattering snares, whereas Dumonde have got rolling basslines with epic and energetic uplifting riffs and synths... :eyespop: :eyespop: |

took the words right outta my mouth, hardhouse is really jsut funky house made faster and bouncier, and maybe with some cheesy riffs for "trancey" ness.
kr00t0n, like i said there are three typoes of hard trance! hardstyle influenced (scot p), hardhouse influenced, and trance, but harder (dumonde)!
im not saying that hardstyle influenced and hardhouse influenced ARe their respective genres, they are influenced so carry the same elements thru mixed with trance. |
