I was very much in the groove at work today, until the police kindly and politely informed us that we had to evacuate the building due to a suspicious package being discovered nearby. Rather frustrating, but it is wise to listen to those gentlemen when they are agitated, I've found.

I've got a rather gigantic presentation on Wednesday, so now I'm taking the weekend to prepare, i.e. drinking plenty of port and imagining worst case scenarios. They all end rather well, so I'm not overly concerned, but, still, one must take these things seriously.

Not enjoying the weather, far too warm for me; I could use a good rain or snow storm :o

Rather a muted day on all stock exchanges today, what the hell could you possibly have invested in to lose 50,000 today? :conf:

It wasn't actually in one day it was over a stretch of 4 days. I lost mainly 50k of profit. I was about to sell at my exit point but right before it even got there, honestly like 4 cents away, it tanked and tanked hard. Fired their CEO minutes before. It's my fault mainly I got married to the stock and didn't want to sell, kept thinking it hit it's floor and would bounce. At least they replaced the CEO with Henri holms. But it's going to be a long way back up.

Basically the CEO prior was trying to pump pump pump and eventhough I kinda knew I was too fixated on the share price hitting my exit mark. I was not expecting the bomb that went off.

Down with sinusitis. Face hurts. Nose hurts. Eyes hurt. Brasília's "cold" nights and dry weather definitely don't help... but I'm getting better.

Does that make you a -$20k millionaire now?

Why are you playing with stocks anyway? I thought you were an estate agent? You guys make so much money for doing so little work, it seems bizarre you'd try to make money another way, especially gambling on the market, and sports stock no less.

Stocks are fun and im pretty good with entry points and exit points minus a trade or two. its kinda like controlled gambling. I enjoy it.

I used to like trading stocks but I found it too draining. The highs are great but lows are worse. I realized it's just glorified form of gambling. I'd rather be earning money actually doing something and enjoying my free time with friends and family rather than worrying about my stocks.

For most people, actively trading stocks oneself is just a socially acceptable way of gambling.
