Anyone using Philips Hue lights to light their booths?

I recently visited a friend who had some in her apartment and I was hooked. I've hooked up about 7 color bulbs in my apartment which you control via a wireless bridge. You can control via your phone or even an Echo.

I have an ADJ LED sound bar but these bulbs are super simple to setup and easier to control without having to deal with DMX. There are also third party apps that let you make some crazy visuals, including sound controlled visuals.

When you're done, you just set them back to any shade of white you want.

Anyone else pick these up?

Not using them but they seem really interesting, I just moved and have started to go fully LED in my house but finding the right "warm" tone is pretty difficult and so many of the bulbs are just too cold. Be kind of cool for mood and party lighting.

Are they expensive? And how many can you connect to a network?

They are very cool. The color bulbs (the ones worth getting) are expensive at $50 a pop. I picked up a few on prime day for 40. I've never seen them less than that. That said they're supposed to last 22-25k hours.

The hub that comes in the starter kit can run 50 bulbs I believe. More than 99% of users would ever need.

Also, they claim there are over 16k shades of white. I use an echo dot and say "soft white" and it's pretty warm. I've used Orange too which is kind of warm for the evening hours. Of course you can also manually select the color across the full spectrum.

If you do go with them, make sure you get gen 3 (the latest gen) because they supposedly drastically improved some of the colors.
