Vacation time started an hour ago, and I'm on my second glass of wine. Five weeks off.
How about you? |

Baby vacation started Monday. Off for 18 months lulz.
Off to a music festival today, day one of three. Basically in my back yard, so no big deal if I go into labour. :o |

| Been doing overtime hours at work these past few weeks. Going to take a nap as soon as I'm off, then drive to the Bay Area to visit yet another dying relative. My aunts, uncles and family friends have been dropping like flies since last year. :( |

| Three weeks off here now. My desk at work still is a huge mess, didn't have time to clean it up and was the last one to leave. So for my colleagues who already had vacation before, it will be like I'm still working :D |

| Had a two-day long migraine this week (Wed and Thurs), but today, finally, was much better. I started getting migraines/borderline migraines in 4th grade (sometimes up to 5 a week), and they lasted all the way through college...then mysteriously stopped. I graduated college in December of 1999, so it's been a while since I've had to deal with a 2-day migraine. I worked both days, but needless to say, I was mostly a useless, whiny bitch. A "cold front" is bringing some needed rain today, and on the back side we are supposed to drop 10 degress and have less humid air for the weekend. That should make yard work tomorrow much better...maybe even damn near pleasant. I'd love to be at the cabin, listening to all this rain on the metal roof, but I don't foresee begging, borrowing, or stealing "permission" to go. Pie...you and your mini vacation/maternity leave. Remember, before it's over "nursing" won't mean what it used to mean. :o |

| Went to see Dunkirk in the cinema with some friends. Can rarely remember being so bored and unengaged by a film. |

Damn, that's disappointing. I generally love Nolan's work. |

| Slowly making our way back to Copenhagen after a four week Interrail. A total of five weeks of vacation is soon spent and work awaits on Monday.. Going to numb myself from it with a bottle of wine on the last train. |

My wife is tidying up her stuff at the farm, and we've unearthed loads of old CDs. Apparently, our taste in music diverged a bit over time, but she also liked Information Society and Pet Shop Boys as a young wifeling.
It's quite telling that, 30 years ago, we had Information Society saying they wanted to know what we're thinking and today we have the NSA #LifeGoals #99%Perspiration1%Inspiration :D |

| I didn't think you were old enough to be into the Pet Shop Boys. CDs well music in general is a bit of time capsule to our past life before we became adults. Unearthing those inconsequential events and feelings that happened when we were listening to those songs. Reminds me how ephemeral life is. |
