| We had a 68% eclipse. It got noticeable darker but the sun was too bright couldn't see anything. |

I was in Dallas at 1pm and there was meant to be a 75% effect.
Result = absolutely all apart form a bunch of muppets lining the street with daft goggles. It didn't even get a drop darker. |

| I was pretty close to the zone of totality. We stepped out back at work, and the darker it got, the louder the annual Cicadas "sang". The street lights came on, and there was a neat shimmering/shadow effect on the sidewalk and pavement that I will assume was from the sun's corona. It was a very neat, surreal experience. I wouldn't have driven halfway across the country and/or dropped a grand on a hotel room to be in the path of totality, but it was cool to witness it so close to the ideal path. Perfect viewing conditions, too, as all the clouds held off until later in the day. |

How long can you look at an eclipse before hurting your eyes?

| I looked at it with sunglasses and then without. Hopefully I'll be alright. |
