I wasn't blown away by most of the new B12/Firescope records but this one, me. One of the best new tracks I've heard this year.

I like almost anything Derek Carr puts out. John Shima is another artist who releases similar vibes in the vein or B12 / Likemind, he released an EP on Firescope earlier as well. Really nice stuff.

Have had an eye on Carr for a little while now. Hope he can find a decent, permanent home for another LP soon. And maybe his own Bandcamp page now that all his Psychonavigation stuff has bit the dust.
Also, that's such a tease for me, naming a record 'Distant Systems'. Nearly a decade on, and I'm still craving another album from that project!

Thats really good stuff woony. There have been sporadic intelligent techno releases over the last couple of years that have been good but i wish there was more! Really is one of the best sub genres around.

We had a whole multi page thread dedicated to intelligent techno some years back. One of the better threads we had on this board imo.
