Went to the dietitian. Lost 10 kilos (22 pounds) since late June and the blood results are fine - Cholesterol is low, triglycerides (which were high) are low... And my Vitamin D levels are way too low. It's a side-effect of working nights, I guess, but they're about a third of the minimum acceptable level.

In short, I desperately need the D :p

I find this to be the quintessential American experience, much like coming of age in Britain means getting...

See, Stu? We're all undergoing our rites of passage. Now all you need to do is fight kangas someday. For my part, I've already been mugged by monkeys (and I'm not even kidding), so I guess it's just you now :D

Maybe I can go extra hardcore and get thrown out of a bar for fighting kangas? How cool would that be?

Extra cool. You'd come of age in, like, 16 cool countries... And New Zealand!

Woo! 16 is pretty good. Do I actually have to win the fight, or just start one? Red kangaroos can do quite a bit of damage :wtf:

I'm not sure what the rules are, but I think you just need to get it started, like a pub brawl. Kudos if you manage to win though.
Sushipunk
Ok then, I'll be on the lookout for any kangaroos in bars that I visit. Surely I'll come across one eventually.

do you have a super anal way of labeling the filenames of your music too, including capitalization? i had this dilemma of renaming everything or " it why bothering" when i lost my entire beatport collection to a hdd taking a dump and having to redownload the entire thing in bulk, seeing hundreds of "4493492023_Title_of_Track_Artist_Remix.mp3" and nearly blowing my brains out

Ugh I hate those long string of numbers from the beatport downloads. They get deleted with the quickness. I also have to have correct capitalization on my MP3's, WAV's and Flacs. It's only about a few years ago that I learned to live with the underscores on the file names.

You know you can change that, right?

Although I find it pretty pointless because I eventually make my own mixtapes and add them to iTunes, it's not that hard to organise your Beatport downloads. You just make a few tweaks on "preferences" and, there you go, your files are all properly sorted.

You can also use a program like Mp3 Tag if you've already got way too many files you want to rename.

Zharen
Oh, didn't know that. Not that it really matters now. I don't really have the time to dig around beatport these days, so for the few tunes that I do get here and there manually changing the file names and id3 tags don't really take that long for me. But I'll look into it next time.
Lira
:)

The thing I like about Beatport files is that they make the job of mass tagging softwares, such as MP3 Tag, so easy that even a messy slob like me can have an organised music folder in seconds. I do it pretty much just to search for duplicates (as I buy the occasional track on iTunes as well), but I'm definitely a fan.
