I forgot to give a heads up on this release and was wondering if this is a reconstruction or the official track remastered? Sounds like its the same and not a bootleg. Beatport gives no information either.
There's even a sweet little ambient mix and HHC mix.

This is not the original
The closest sounding to the original is the 21st Century Original mix but it is 100% updated with fatter drums and cleaner sounds. |

Mixed feelings about this. The original track has probably the most gorgeous intro I've ever heard, but the drop that followed was always a bit weak, even by the standards of the day. So in that respect I like the punchiness of the new drum 'n bass mix. I also like that little rhodes-y sound they've subbed in as the riff. But on the other hand, I don't like that they've redone the intro as well. There's nothing wrong with it as such, but I've played the original so many times that even that new little pluck synth at the start sounds wrong. They didn't need to change that. I might try making a re-edit splicing the old intro into the new beats.
The ambient mix sounds like little more than the 21st Century Mix with the drums taken out, rather than a true ambient version. And that HHC remix is horrible. Machine-tooled for Paul Oakenfold Jesus-poses in front of his dwindling congregations of middle aged men.
Incidentally, the original has been available digitally for years: http://classic.beatport.com/track/l...inal-mix/436130 |

ive known this song for awhile now and i know it as the one the-sixth linked.
also not sure if they know what ambient means because that's certainly not it. |

| Ok, I did feel like the strings were different and that it was stronger overall. I'm surprised Oakenfold just didn't slap his name on it like Madasgascar. |
