wells.. i know this movie has been out for a while now, but i just got a chance to see it today with my gf and i gotta say.. ing awesome film !!

man if any of you guys have the time i strongly recommend u check this flick out..

basically it's a documenatary about guns in America and US foreign policy by Michael Moore (Director). the film got rave reviews at CAnnes and at the TO film festival. It has a very intelligent delivery and at times is ing hilarious ...

hands down one of the best movies i've seen this year ..

plus, will all this heated political talk i often see in the TO forums, i think most of you would love this movie. has anyone else seen it.. ? if so i'm just wondering what some of you might have thought ..

It shows at the Cumberland in Yorkville and at Shepard Grande .. also carried at a couple of other places like AMC. check tribute.ca for details..

Totally agree. I saw it a few days ago in Lyon, France. It was cool, er... interesting to hear some of the comments from the French as they walked out. I saw it with a guy from Australia, England and a girl from Quebec I met at my hostel... we ended up having a long-assed discussion about our attitudes to Americans.

My favourite part was when Michael Moore came to Toronto and was walking around to find out if we actually locked our doors. He just kept walking up to random houses and tried open the door without knocking. He showed like five or six, they were all unlocked and the people in the houses didn't freak out! Personally I think he did a bit of creative editing though... if some fat guy with a camera crew walked in my door unannounced I think I'd be a little agitated.

The movie ends with Moore going to talk with Charlton Heston (head NRA spokesperson). That was pretty sad. There were a few points in the film that are a bit... down, shall we say. But an excellent movie all the same. I recomend it to everyone.

The film seemed fairly even handed. He didn't make any accusations against Americans (he is one), he just asked some serious questions in a funny way.

Go see this movie.

Cheers,
Fats

I'll post my opinion if I get to go see it.

Thanks for the reminder that this is out already.

Michale Moore is brilliant. He has a way of social commentary that is both humourous and accepted by the "masses".

I've been wondering about this film since it's release.

I think I'll wait til it comes out on video however; have some other movie 'priorities' you could say... ;)

Yeah, that's a good film.. however, DO NOT go see FEMME FATALE. It's the most disappointing Brian De Palma ever. Baaaaaaaaaaaaad acting on RRS's part, even wooooooooooorst scenario.. And for you guys, it's not even worth the lesbian + strip-dancing scene.

around 200 students from our school are going to go see this movie this Friday somewhere downtown, i may have to write a movie response on this, but its good to hear its good :D
