Do you guys remember some time ago, when Speed Garage was born in the UK and producers were like "OMG, that's the next big thing! This will change the history of dance music!" and it suddenly "died"?
Now there's all this hype about trance'n'bass and I've got this deja vu...
What you guys think of it? Will trance'n'bass die quickly, just like speed garage?
(unless speed garage didn't die and nobody told me about it :D) |

Yes! It will die pretty quickly...Or is it already dead?
I don't like the mixture or trance synths and the DrumNBass drums.
And SpeedGarage was IMO a much bigger invention...
This is just like Synths N Fast drums...Nothing special about that. :/ |

It won't die just because it doesn't really exist. These producers are regular tech-step producers that have begun to use trance riffs in some of their tracks. There's no such thing as a trance n' bass producer or a trance n' bass dj yet. They all call this epic trance sounding dnb "liquid".
Whatever, if you listen to the mixmag cd it is all still dnb and major dnb djs like Andy C have been regularly spinning these tracks.
We can call it trance n' bass, but it is still just dnb with epic characteristics and trancy riffs. |

| I like it, but it's not as good as it could be. In the songs I've heard the trance elements are alright at best, and the dnb is horrible. I like dnb because the bass gets in your face and s you up. This just has a drumloop added. sigh. |

| It will die. Let's just hope nothing like Progressive n' Bass will come along.:p |

There's no way you could say that about most of the songs in John B's Trance n' Bass CD, which is mostly techstep with trance riffs and the same killing basslines as usual. Just listen to Concord Dawn-Take me away and you'll see what i mean. |

It can't die cuz it DOESN'T EXIST
and progressive n'bass technically exists before progressive itself, it's called intelligent dnb :p a la LTJ Bukem. |

If it doesn't exist, what was that all about? I know they say it comes from liquid dnb, but I don't think it's (supposed to be) the same thing, is it? :p |
