Ferry is intending to team up with Armin soon so looking forward to that :) .
In my opinion Armin is still quite young and i think the excitement of it all has made him not go commercial but hes definately tried to launch himself into the mainstream but hell if i was him id do the same!
I respect Ferry a lot because it hasnt gone to his head and he doesnt just wack out remix after remix so it means his prouctions always remain quality. |

Tiesto - agree on his varying styles. Last time I saw him in Scotland he was dropping tunes like Picotto - Awesome. His set was 147 bpm plus. Then I see him in Ibiza a few months later, it was a good set but a bit slow and progressive, under 140 bpm. That is a big change in a few months! He has produced some absolute classics and that should never be forgotten.
Ferry - why do trance fans insist on flaming this guy, he is the guy who brought trance on in the late 90's, bringing it to the attention of people who never knew it existed. Some of his tunes are awesome, his sets are good too.
Armin - been saying for a while he was going to make it big, didn't realise it would happen so quickly. Awesome sets, and until recently awesome productions. But Yet Another Day is not that great a tune in my opinion, I still think Sunburn kicks ass! |

There was one point where they all sounded the same spinning.
Massive superfestival schlock trance anthems with 5 breakdowns and 3 sweeps...mixed into more super corporate 'i'm rolling so hard' trance anthems.
Mind you that I like and spin these huge songs, I think a little variety in your sets could be helpful, and this is where Armin, Ferry and Tiesto just don't....touch?
It doesn't matter though. It's their style, and people seem to enjoy it...I do(to a certain extent) at least. |

| I like Armin the best. He's the one that brings the latest tunes out on his Radio show, plays them for a bit, then Tiesto/Corsten/GIelen get them and they play them. Thats my opinion at least. As a DJ, I dislike Corsten and Gielen the most...as producers, I don't like any of them except for Armin, he makes real quality stuff. Tiesto can't make his own song and Corsten, well...his stuff is catchy, but wears off in about a day of listening to it. His recent productions don't compare to what he did a while back...eg. Love I Lost...amazing energetic tune...but seriously, it has that same formula that 99% of this years trance songs do...which reminds me of Universal Nation 2002...ugh, what a piece of |

Me too!! I like the "new" Tiesto soo much more than the old Tiesto style.. Just my opinion I know you don´t agree with me :o |

well, i respect any new productions of any of this dj's....
you might have reason about armin bringing the new stuff in radio, however when tiesto produce his own stuff he breaks every conception of trance and he always bring new sounds, what about magik journey? flight 643? i think they're so good tunes, that no any dj play it and put it into his set, ohh, what about lethal industry and obsession??? if you hear those live, you go completley nuts nuts nuts......
i do agree that maybee tiesto need to take some time off, to refresh his mind from the commercial stuff he get in his vynil bag, and refresh himself with good quality stuff.....
i love hearing armin in his radio shows, it's really the newest tunes i listened too, and really quality trance, maybe corsten is a bit commercial in the radio shows, but still playing good tunes.... and gielen, ia have'nt heard such good set of him as the old in trance we trust,,,awsome... |

Tiësto has become boring, not that he changed his style but that he
never changes, i guess the fact that his mixing isnt always topnotch
comes into play here, altho I have heard to sets of him that were
recently recorded where his mixing is topclass, but still.. i dont
know.. plain ?
Armin delievers good trance altho I think he goes for a little bit
too much vocals.
Would like to see alot more sets by Ferry tho, his mixing kicks
ass and he has good trackselection altho I dont like Pocket Damage. |
