erm.. ya. say i want to press 10 copies of a track. or even 5. how do i go about.. and what price range am i looking at?

am i better off just ripping a bunch of CDRs? ?
Vanilla
Im pretty sure you can only get large numbers of presses ie 100. I have no idea of the cost, tho someone on here will.
patticus
i dunno about that, ive seen max graham post that he's only run off a couple acetates of productions (i.e. Crank) to give to friends..
but thanx :D

im sure someone will know

i think for white labels, it has to be a large quantity, prolly not for ty acetates though

You could get that Vestax "vinylburner", then you can do as many or
as few copies as you like. The downside is that it costs a fortune.
I have seen figures on $10000 and a new needle is like $300, gotta
change needle after 30 discs or something.

hmm.. i no someone that does em for £30 per vinyl.. and that gets me approx 40-50 plays. So i guess ur looking at that kinda price.
SugarShack
It`s loads cheaper to burn off a few CDRs;)
Jah
i think max graham would have some connections too so dont go by that

Just wondering...how many plays does a normal release vinyl record last?
breakdown
reference acetates in the USA get cut for about $60USD for an EP, or $120 for an LP

each that is, with no minimum quantity.

then u can get like 50 Test presses at like $545

http://www.maxdisk.com/vinyl.htm

but price goes down with quantity.

if you are in the UK, you can go for Kinetic Records (same label as deepsky, starecase, etc)

you can get a 1sided acetate for GBp40, and GBP50 for 2 sided but only last 10-20 plays.

depends how you use it..

standard-wise it can last hundreds, thousands times if you keep it well..

but if you leave it lying around, collecting dust or whatever, then probably not that many times.

You'll get a lot more for your money by burnin' CDs. Acetates don't last very long and can be costly to have made if you're only having a few made. Hardly worth it. Also....don't keep us in suspense....what is it that you want pressed?

heh just thinkin bout that eminem/pascal feos bootleg that i threw together a couple months back.. a couple ppl have heard it..
i'll play it out tomorrow and gauge reaction, but ya CDR sounds like the way to go..
