these three trax give me problems everytime i try to mix em....
Kai Tracid- Trance & Acid
Blank & jones- Djs, Fans & Freaks (cosmic gate rmx)
Tankis & Savietto- Antea. (original F8 cut)
the first two start out in a breakbeat...other than going to the point where the breakbeat ends and it goes to a 4/4 beat, and mixing from there....got any tips on mixing a breakbeat into a 4/4 beat?
and Antea starts off nice...but after about 128 beats it starts into its acid lines. i like to try and hold the mixes as long as possible, but once it goes into the acid line, if there is anything else "going on" in the song, other than the percussion, it just sounds horrible.
any tips on that?
another thing u oughtta kno is that usually, when i mix, i will rarely touch the eqs....just cuz most of the time, i dont really need to...it sounds great just by when, and where in each track i put em together. i still need to learn how to use the eqs to my advantage to make the mixes sound their best. |

| u need to always at least use the bass eq and take a bit off the hi and mid eventually to soften the transitions. also, DFF has a 4 beat gap between breakbeat and when the 4/4 kicks in so be wary when mixing that. I aint mixed trance + acid for ages, so i can't remember :p |
