On Sat Nov 4th, First Time for Everything is excited to be hosting our next event at One Loft, and this time we're opening the party to the public!
Anduhyaun, meaning "Our Home" in Ojibwe and Cree, is one of the oldest shelters in Canada, providing temporary shelter and housing for Indigenous women and their families.
http://anduhyaun.org/
100% of proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Anduhyaun. We're hoping to generate a real impact by not only raising funds, but also awareness for an organization that strives to support the most vulnerable members of the urban Indigenous community in their efforts to maintain their cultural identity, self-esteem, and economic, physical and spiritual well-being.
Tickets are $20 advance, $25 at the door.
Remember, even if you're not able to make it to the event in person, your ticket sales, and donations to the fundraising page, will still benefit women and families as they strive to find safety, stability and support during stressful transitions in their lives.

IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO ATTEND...
And would still like to show your support, please leave a donation through our Canadahelps fundraising page. 100% of funds go directly to Anduhyaun.

Whether you're there in person for the party, or there in spirit, your contributions add up to a message of support for the most vulnerable, yet resilient, women and children in our local community.

********************Ciel********************
Ciel, born Cindy Li, is a producer, DJ, promoter, and radio programmer based out of Toronto, Canada. She currently runs two of the country’s most forward thinking party series (It’s Not U It’s Me and Work in Progress) and hosts a female focused radio show (where she only plays music produced by females) on n10.as.
Ciel has used every ounce of influence created by her career to advocate for the safety and presence of women, people of color, and the LGBTQ community. Her undying efforts have significantly raised the safety standards of underground parties in Canada and have played a key role in the music community enforcing a 0 tolerance policy against individuals who have abused others.
With Red Bull Music naming her alongside acts like The Black Madonna and Marie Davidson, with her absolutely stellar performance in August at Toronto’s Boiler Room, and with a release on Shanti Celeste’s Peach Disks on the near horizon, it’s not a matter of how Ciel will break out, but simply a question of when.
******************Evan Pang****************
Evan Pang is a Toronto-based singer songwriter from northern Ontario. His Oji-Cree roots have helped shaped the message in his music which touches on the issues of residential schools, addiction and racism. He moved to Toronto to perform music and pursue a career in journalism. He recently performed at Dundas Square for National Aboriginal Day with a five-piece band and is in studio recording an EP to be released this winter. In journalism he has been able to work on several stories surrounding First Nations issues including a mini-documentary he shot and produced with Huffington Post Canada called the 'Children of MMIW' which followed the lives of two Indigenous women who lost their mothers.
***************Fawn Big Canoe***************
