What says he wouldn't do good at breaks when he hasn't tried them? :P Variety is a good thing, and he'd be even better if he pulled off an absolutely sick track!!!

It is a shame that these producers are not credited as much as they should be. Especially if sasha said "i want my tune to sound like this" *hums melody* and then Charlie May goes to work on it and makes the final version.

But as robstar pointed out I guess they wouldnt sell as many records then.

BT is certainly the most innovative producer. Him and Sasha are given credit of creating the first "trance" music (BT hates labeling his music as trance because when he thinks of trance he thinks formulaic cheese). I don't know much about the behind the scenes producers, accept the Paul Oakenfold had 5 other producers teamed with him to write the original version of southern sun. As far as I know BT does all his own. Bedrock is about 10% Digweed and 90% Nick Muir. If you don't believe me, listen to the track Cabala - Dark Blue(One of Muir's aliases), and you'll understand where the melodic genious came from. The only thing I regret about the electronic music scene is the associate producers who don't get enough credit. My foremost passion is to be a dj, but first I'm going to college to study electronic music, like BT and other great producers have, so I can learn how to use studios to write my own tracks. It would be much more gratifying to me if I played my own stuff to overwhelming crowds instead of playing just everybody elses' tunes.

i say charlie may + nick muir do a track together :eyespop:

I was wondering how James Zabiela spontaneously learned to produce and has made two very nice remixes recently, hes probably got someone in the studio doing most of the work.
Not to keen on this down-playing of Sasha, i thought that he made his own name through great productions way back in the early 90s, then teamed up with Charlie May later, could be wrong......

lol, i thought prin would say this, we're not saying sasha has no imput in what tracks his name is put b4, we are simply saying that Mr may does alot of the work and gets little credit for it (prin is a sasha bumber, for all u that don't know, i am not saying thats a bad thing). someone earlier in the forum, said that sasha gets may to put his ideas 2 life, i could believe that.

the trance music scene is exactly for every music scene..
as for pop.. most singers are singing lyrics made up from other producers.. dance coordinators teach the singer to dance.. it's no real skilled involved.. just a matter of name + fame.. that's the game in the music industry.. they don't care if you didn't make it.. as long as it says "Britney Spears, or DJ Tiesto" fans will always buy their sh|t.. it's pathetic.. however this doesn't go for all.. just.. doing it for the most part

:D ok prin, no need 2 :nervous:

i know u wern't, But can some1 please clear up who does what in the "sasha studio"

eLe_vatE
of course, Sasha, Charlie May & sometimes Junkie XL produce damn good music
DJ Libor
who does what, my prediction : charlie may makes synth after synth producing tune of the yr every week, sasha comes in at the end of the month and listens, gives may a wad of £££ and then the track is released under his name :D :p
