12/29/2017 - Sasha and Digweed at The Midway (SF) (pg. 3)

I had an excellent time. The dynamic reminded me a lot of the Delta Heavy Tour (2002). S+D started about 12:30. Sasha opened with a melodic intro that started the night and then Digweed played hard 4/4 kicks after the first song.
The rest of the night was them working off each other's vibe. More atmospheric melodies from Sasha and 4/4 bangers from Digweed, back and forth for hours. I wasn't able to identify any of the songs.
Main room sound was LOUD, my word. As soon as Eagles & Butterflies finished up the warm-up set I felt like the volume went up 33%. Luckily I brought earplugs for me and my friends. It was way more balanced with the plugs in.
Overall was a must-see. It's rare to get Sasha+Digweed together in the US, let alone San Francisco. |

I've said it before, but I think DJ's play ing awesome when they're in SF. |
