What year, and got a pic? I'm going to be getting a '90 Integra GS from my grandparents soon...I can't wait! It's in mint condition, 65k miles, leather interior and the paint is still like new and they're the second owners. |

I wanted to know more about cars to save money on oil changes, tire rotation, etc. But I guess this car thing became a big hobbie of mine now. :toocool: But yea, 13.9 is pretty quick in my opinion, plus I really like the fact that I could feel the G-Force in 1-3 gear. I don't have to wait in line for the roller coaster, I just downshift, and I could literally hit my head on the headrest from the acceleration. I wish I could show you a picture of my car but I really don't know how to work HTML. I will try to post it somehow though. Lastly, it was nice to beat this s2000 (I'm probably sure it was bone stock) and you guys shoulda seen his face when I started to pull away in 3rd gear... hehehe :haha: BTW I do not put other motorists in danger when I race. ;) Hey but, if any of you TAs need help fixing up your cars, just let me know I would gladly help you guys out.

It's always priceless to beat a much more expensive car. I remember one night I pulled pretty hard from some old snob in a 911 Carrera, he and his 20 year old ho had the funniest looks on their faces...
And the Boxter S I took after giving him a 4 car head start...his look was priceless as well. |

When you race a 1/4 mile (aka drag race), you do it from a dead stop. Then you race from that dead stop through a 1/4 mile.
What he means by "13.9" is that it took him 13.9 seconds to go from a dead stop through the 1/4 mile race.
Which is really not that fast by todays standards. Nowadays to run 13's (13 seconds) is the norm around New York. It's when your running 11's that you should brag....i mean a stock Lexus GS400 runs mid 14's out of the showroom.
And someone said that a 9 second civic can not be street leagal, well that is not true. I know soemone who runs high 9's and drives his car daily. I also have a friend who has a 92 Mustang that runs mid 9's regularly.
and someone said they pulled on a Porsche Carrera and a Boxster S...please tell me what car you where driving and what mods you have done. |

Lexus GS400? What's that ???? :eyespop: You mean GS430 and GS300? Oh...wait I think they did make GS400 back in the day. Well, they don't really run mid 14's. It's more like 14.8ish range. Stock GS430 probably could do 13.9. Let's keep in mind that I do not have v8, 32 valve, VVTI powered engine. Plus I didn't have to spend 54 grand on my car. (I'm not that rich lol) Well, I think running 13.9 with my car is a great accomplishment. V6 hauling 3200 lbs car....Solara is a like grocery getter. Just like an Accord. It's just an ordinary car. Nothing special. If you turbo an Integra, yea of course that will easily get into the 13s. But you have to realize that weight of my car. Integras are like mid 2000 lbs. It is not normal for a Solara to go 13.9 Ask any Camry/Solara drivers.
PS I thinking to get a Japanese Integra Type-R. Can someone give me detailed information?
Thanks |
