| ok im interested in getting heavily into CD Dj'ing and i was just wondering what it was like for those of u who have burned mp3's to CD and then used them in a mix. do they mix as well as ordinary CD's if the bitrate is high enough on the mp3 origianlly - can anyone give me some more info on mixing like this?!?!?! THANX |

| Yes they would mix as well as normal cd's.. Unless you use those low budget dj cd players.. Pioneers and Denons work fine..but be careful.. use only good quality blank cd-r's.. As for the bitrate, try to download tunes with 192 and above.. anything below that will sound very harsh. |

| Technically that would work but all the real DJs who actually BUY their music will look down on you for playing stolen music. Also when you use time stretching (which CD players do - after all you want to pitch your tunes up or down to mix them) on an audio file that has been compressed through lossy psychoaccoustic alghorythms you will probably be able to hear encoding artefacts which are present no matter how high the bitrate ... |

Well, i've been mixing some cd's lately with mp3's burned on them and I didn't had any problem with it, I even have it recorded on my computer (as an mp3 file) and If i'll get a place to upload it to, i'll send it to you, you will hear that the quality is amazing (256) and i played alot with the pitchs...
