Any memorable moment for you?
I only casually watched the Olympics.
I got a kick that a bunch of unathletic dads brought home the gold in curling. |

| Yes, that broad skiing the half pipe for Hungary. Hilarious! |

Germany and Canada tie for gold in two-man bobsled. Jessie Diggins just barely clinching first ever American gold in cross-country skiing.
Yeah, the American woman casually skiiing the halfpipe for Hungary was kind of hilarious. |

The slovak woman who basically never won anything, borrowed Mikeala Schiffrin's skis then produced the run of her life to finish 0.01 ahead for the gold, and doesn't believe what just happened:
Also Shawn white pulling off the greatest run of his life as the last person to go on his final run.
And finally, I can't find a video of it but Kleabo doing cross country.
No idea who he was and I'm sitting there like "look at this guy, thinks he's going to race without a hat or wind protection. Tough guy huh?"
Then I watch him absolutely destroy the uphill climb like it called his Mum a cvnt. Was probably the most hardcore cross country skiing I've ever seen and that sport is tough as . |

- Žan Košir: I'm throwing this here because I wonder if foreign broadcasters picked this up too. He seems to have beaten Lee Sang-ho in the men's parallel giant slalom semifinals by one tenth of a second but, according to the judges, it was the other way around - that was so confusing.
TV kept showing replays that clearly had Žan as the winner, to no avail. Oh, and this squirrel:
Squirrel Run
- The North Koreans' Gala Exhibition: Their routine was fascinating, both because they were really good and because it was like being thrown back in time. The song sounded a lot like Asian pop music from the 60s, and their outfits matched the mood.
- Brazilian Bobsleigh
Team: Huehuehue! The closest thing we have to snow is the frost in our refrigerators, and yet we finished 25th out of 29. That's the best we could have hoped for, really.
Speaking of hope...
- Curling "flukes": South Korea's women team getting a silver medal was nothing short of Amazing, and Super Mario representing the US was also great.
I'm about to watch Germany in the hockey final. If that's anything like the World Cup, I feel bad for whatever team they're about to trounce :p

... And went on to win gold in snowboard :p
Ps.: She's from Prague so, although she was born in Czechoslovakia, that makes her Czech now. |
